Are you looking for a guide with all of the goods? Jennifer is your gal. Want to know about the latest politics of the country? She will tell you. Looking for that "oh so good" foccacia you've heard so much about? She knows just where to find it. Really need a toilette? Don't worry, she has that covered too.
I've never met a guide so willing to help with everything. She went so far above and beyond her job description on this trip. Just to give you a glimpse of her capabilities, twelve of us desperately wanted to go paragliding in the Alps. She scheduled the times and arranged for everything. If only she could have controlled the weather... I suppose superpowers are not in her repertoire, but it almost feels that way.
Driving the Group, Here Comes...
Rene is the best bus driver you could imagine. I almost feel it is unfair to call him our bus driver because he is so much more. Tour guide, tour member, expert luge rider, you name it, he can do it. The trip would not have been so memorable without him. The hardest day was probably when we had to say goodbye to him.
Talk about being the best driver ever; imagine your driver introducing you to Paris in the most luxurious, grand way. One couple had a leftover bottle of wine, so they shared the last of it with the group. Our glasses were filled with some fine Swiss wine as we entered the city of lights. We got our first glimpse of the most beautiful city in the world in the safe hands of Rene. He was even brazen enough to take us to the center of the roundabout at the Arc de Triomphe. Want to see some mad driving skills, this man has it. I wish I could get this introduction to every city I visit.
